The Time of the Journals on the Internet
What is the present format of electronic on-line journals on the Internet and how is the phenomenon perceived ? The characteristics of the new medium determine a new environment for journals ; The question thus arises : is it possible – or necessary – to conceive of a new model for journals and to try to imagine the perspectives which this will open up to their founders or editors ?
Should one try to elaborate possible strategies ? Two French projects are used to illustrate several aspects of the question.
