Literary journals in the Netherlands from 1885 to 1995
The article supplies a historical survey of the most important Dutch literary journals, especially of the so-called « programmatische tijdschriften », periodicals with a theoretical concept, a critical standard, and a specific style. These periodicals have been divided into four groups, each representing a different tradition in Dutch literary journals since 1885.
