After changing its editorial policy from an erratic eclecticism to an eclecticism centered around the idea of a post-war Europe, under which idea the old title collapsed, André Germain’s Les Écrits nouveaux became La Revue Européenne with Philippe Soupault at its commands. Larbaud was asked in as a guarantee of its open new european spirit. The article is the detailed story of the mutation.
