Histoire sociale / Social history

La revue Histoire sociale – Social History publie des articles, des notes de recherche, des comptes rendus ainsi que d’autres textes contribuant à l’histoire sociale au Canada et ailleurs. Tous les genres de phénomènes sociaux d’ordre culturel, politique, économique ou démographique intéressent la revue, sans restriction méthodologique, temporelle ou spatiale. Elle accorde la priorité aux études intégrant explicitement plusieurs sous-domaines de l’histoire social et dont les sources, la méthodologie ou l’interprétation sont innovatrices. Fondée par des historiens de l’Université d’Ottawa et de l’Université Carleton, Histoire sociale – Social History bénéficie actuellement de la collaboration de collègues de l’Université d’Ottawa et de l’Université York. La revue est publiée deux fois l’an, en mai et en novembre, grâce à l’aide financière des deux universités et du Conseil de recherches en sciences humaines du Canada.

Histoire sociale – Social History publishes articles, research notes, book reviews, and other submissions that contribute to social history in Canada and elsewhere. The journal is interested in all types of social phenomena, whether cultural, political, economic, or demographic, without methodological, temporal, or geographic restrictions. The journal gives priority to studies that explicitly integrate different sub-fields of social history and are innovative in sources, method, or interpretation. Founded by historians from the University of Ottawa and Carleton University, Histoire sociale – Social History benefits today from the collaboration of colleagues from the University of Ottawa and York University. The journal is published twice yearly, in May and November, with the financial assistance of the University of Ottawa, York University, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
